A Personal Branding Session is not just your average headshot session, they are invitations to your client into your business world. They help your ideal client connect with your brand by showcasing your authentic self. They are designed to build trust and give your client a look behind the scenes. Kristin contacted us a few months ago looking to do a branding session. She was creating a new website and wanted images that matched her brand and personality, she also wanted new images for her marketing material. Kristin is a Marketing Content Specialist and helps entrepreneurs learn how to grow their audience and boost their content.

I spend a lot of time getting to know our clients, it’s important to me that we understand their needs and bring their creative vision for their dream images to life. We always start with a design consultation, where we go over the look, feel, style of the images. From location, down to wardrobe, hair and make up, we collaborate and I help guide our clients. We had a good laugh at her consultation. She had mentioned in her questionnaire that she wanted a “grunge” feel to her images. Being a teen in the 90’s, I immediately thought flannels and Doc Martens..lol. I’m so glad during the consultation we clarified what she actually meant by that..haha. Once I understood what kind of look she wanted I began my search for the perfect spot to do the session. After scouting a few locations, I found the most amazing place to do her session, a converted factory turned into artists lofts. Brick facade, white walls, lots of beautiful light and weathered wood floors. It was such an amazing space! I can’t wait to do more sessions there.

Kristin chose to do our VIP experience, so we worked with professional make-up artist, Ivonne Ortiz from @Litemakeup on instagram to give her the perfect look. Seriously people! Look how gorgeous she is. She had three outfits changes and over two and a half hours to get some awesome images. We had a blast!

Monroe-Woodbury Senior Prom | NY Senior Photographer

Monroe-Woodbury Senior Prom

We recently had the honor of photographing a very special young woman for her Monroe-Woodbury Senior Prom. If you’re not familiar with Cindy’s story you can read more about her HERE . We were initially asked to come to a fundraiser for her, but when we heard about Cindy’s story it really touched our hearts and we wanted to help her in any way we could.

Cindy’s mother died six months ago, leaving her alone to care for two siblings. The 19-year-old has had to become a “mom” to her brothers, a 3-year-old and 21-year-old brother, who has autism.

She is a Monroe-Woodbury High School senior who home-schools herself after losing her mother. She works two jobs to make ends meet.

Cindy arrived in a limo with her friend Jeffery, they both looked amazing. Her dress was stunning! We had less than an hour to shoot, and you’d never know it was raining outside and super gloomy out. Lucky for us the rain was light and held off for the session. We laughed, and had fun before sending them on their way to the Monroe-Woodbury Senior Prom.

Rest Haven is an amazing property with a rich history. It used to be a retreat for blind woman without means, they were offered an all expenses paid two-week summer vacation on the property. Helen Keller, the world famous disability rights advocate visited the property in it’s early years.

The strength and courage she has shown is so inspiring. We truly believe it takes a village and we strive to be a good neighbor and helper in our community. We hope, even if it was just for a night, she felt like a princess and had fun at her prom. We are so proud to be part of such a caring community. Please keep her in your prayers.
